Hay Drying

We constantly strive to be the very best and to this end, we have invested heavily in new equipment to assist in the drying of our hay.

The advantage of this is that we are able to make a consistent, deep green, sweet smelling hay even with our changeable weather conditions.

We grow, cut and turn the grass in the traditional way, but instead of leaving the grass to completely turn to hay in the field we bale it whilst it is still very green and moist. We then bring it in and use an air recirculation process to bring the moisture steadily down throughout the entire bale. This leaves us with a beautiful deep green hay which has more leaf matter and best of all has more of the important nutrients intact.
